2nd International Conference for Public Opinion Poll "Public Opinion Polls in a Changing Society"
The Egyptian Government has been especially interested in establishing a Public Opinion Poll Center (POPC) as a means for achieving different important goals that include maintaining effective communication with the public, creating an efficient mechanism to identify public trends towards political and socioeconomic issues and, consequently, making relevant informed policy decisions. It is recognized that public polls are an infant industry in the Arab world, which requires considerable development. Moreover, there seems to be strong justification for raising public awareness and stimulation of societal demand for the services of public opinion poll centers. Accordingly, the POPC intends to hold the 2nd International Conference for Public Opinion Polls in November 2009 at the Marriott Hotel, Cairo, Egypt.
